Donna Kelce Asked Bizarre Question About Taylor Swift, Menopause

Donna Kelce gave some menopause advice for Taylor Swift after being asked a "wild" question by a journalist, with footage of the moment going viral.

The 71-year-old is the mother of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, who began dating the singer in July. On Wednesday, while attending QVC's "The Age of Possibility" event, Donna Kelce was approached by a reporter for women's health outlet Flow Space.

"What advice would you give to somebody, or like a spoiler alert, that you might share with—oh, someone like Taylor Swift—about menopause?" the reporter asked.

"Jeez, um," Donna replied. The football mom took a moment to mull things over before recommending that Swift "Wear light clothing and have a fan around you at all times."

The video went viral after being shared on TikTok, receiving over 240,000 views and almost 14,000 likes in less than 24 hours.

Some users were unimpressed with the "odd" question choice.

"This is an insane question," commented a TikToker named Victoria.

"This question is actually crazy," Luvena wrote.

"What the hell?" asked @swiftreads.

"Marketing team u gotta give this one up it's strange," said Madison.

"Insane question Taylor isn't even near that age yet," wrote @emmajeep3.

"Imagine if anyone ever just didn't ask her a question about Taylor," said Country Strong. "I know she loves Taylor but she has more to offer than just being her boyfriend's mom."

Others felt the question was reasonable since Donna was at an event to launch QVC's Age of Possibility campaign.

The campaign features female celebrities over 50, such as actress Christina Applegate, supermodel Naomi Campbell, and singer Patti LaBelle. According to a press release, it aims to "reflect age 50+ for what it really is: a vibrant stage of life, full of new questions, changes, opportunities and hopes."

"I'm guessing the question was expected/reasonable considering the event," wrote @resident_of_greystreet.

"They are at an event for women over 50+ so that's [probably] why the question was about menopause," said @outtadawoods1989.

Travis Kelce and Swift went public with their relationship in September. The Grammy winner showed up to support the tight end during the Chiefs v. Chicago Bears game at Arrowhead Stadium and was spotted hanging in a luxury suite with his mom.

Donna Kelce recently shared her thoughts on Swift's new album, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.

The double album reportedly references the 34-year-old's ex-boyfriend, British actor Joe Alwyn, and her rumored former lover, 1975 frontman Matty Healy. However, fans have speculated that the song "The Alchemy" is about Travis. The track includes several football-themed references, such as touchdowns, trophies and winning streaks.

"I listened to the whole album, and I listened to it all morning long when it was released," Donna Kelce told PEOPLE.

"I was just very impressed. She is a very talented woman, and I think it is probably her best work."

The "Love Story" singer appears to have bonded with her boyfriend's mom. As well as Swift regularly joining Donna in the V.I.P. area, the duo were filmed walking hand-in-hand after the Chiefs' Superbowl win in February, after the pop star took a short break from her Eras tour in Japan to watch her man play.
