Prince Harry's Relationship With Queen Elizabeth II Praised by Fans

Prince Harry's warm relationship with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, has been spotlighted in a new viral video after clips of the prince and the late monarch were posted to social media site TikTok.

Harry was Elizabeth's fourth grandchild at the time of his birth in 1984 to then Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Over the years, the prince was photographed on numerous occasions interacting with his grandmother at official events, including during a promotional video for his Invictus Games initiative in 2016.

Since her death, Harry has revealed the depth of his relationship with the queen in his memoir, Spare, and also in a moving tribute he paid to her after her death in September 2022 at the age of 96.

In a statement released during the mourning period between the queen's death and her state funeral, Harry said: "I cherish these times shared with you, and the many other special moments in between. You are already sorely missed, not just by us, but by the world over."

In the months since her death and the prince's publication of his January 2023 memoir in which he referenced his grandmother, fans have taken to social media to share archive photos and footage highlighting the bond between the two.

Uploaded to TikTok by user, joshrop, on February 14, one of the latest of these posts has gone viral, showing footage of a young Harry and his grandmother on Easter Sunday at Windsor Castle in 1989.

Also included are clips showing the pair's Invictus Games skit with former President Barack Obama and then first lady Michelle Obama, as well as an interaction between the royals at the Chelsea Flower Show in London.

Captioned "Prince Harry and the Queen Elizabeth's lovely moment," the video has been viewed over 400,000 times on the social media site so far and received in excess of 27,000 likes and numerous comments, many of which have praised the prince and his relationship with his grandmother.

"You can see and feel the love," wrote one TikTok user of the post.

"The King of Hearts," posted another, with a further comment reading: "Harry is the best. Always knowing how to make her smile."
